SpaceFleet: Cadet demo

Sync performance of our ICU Rounding App was so unexpectedly high, we decided to do a small tech demo of a multiplayer game in full 3D, to stress test our sync solution.

Developed 100% in Swift using Apple's SceneKit, it runs on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

Maybe one day we’ll make a crowdfunding project our of it, who knows…

  • full 3D physics runs distributed on the clients, synced by server

  • everything in scene is live: AI drones, guided missiles and hundreds of asteroids that split in half after collision or taking damage

  • uses same communication as our ICU app, with no extra network optimization to really test our solution

  • plays very well even if servers are 5,000 miles away…
