Hoplon SA

Startup founded in 2004 in Florianopolis, Brazil.

As lead founder and CEO, created the business plan and raised Venture Capital so Hoplon could develop a Massive Online Game called Taikodom (and game-tech derived products).
Made Hoplon an IBM Global Partner in 2006 thanks to my understanding of business and dynamics of IT industry, then negotiated an international publishing deal for Taikodom in 2007. By 2009, Hoplon and grown to over 150 people, becoming Brazil’s largest game publisher / developer.
Led the company until 2012, when I left my executive position (I’m still a shareholder with a minority stake in it).

Before the investment, in 2003, I developed our proof-of concept: an online multiplayer action web game for up to 20 players per arena, fully developed in Java to run on Internet Explorer as an advergame.
